Industrial Computer Technician

Balance Technology, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Computer Technician focused on hardware assembly, system configuration, and field commissioning. This is a hands-on role involving component-level troubleshooting and on-site client support.

Core Responsibilities

• Build industrial-grade PCs, install hardware cards, and configure drivers at the system level
• Configure Windows and Linux operating systems for industrial applications
• Travel 20–40% to client sites for equipment installation and integration
• Install and troubleshoot peripherals, including scanners, printers, and industrial automation hardware
• Configure IP addresses, device communication, and basic industrial network connectivity
• Perform physical wiring, cabling, and hardware mounting for system setups

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma with relevant hands-on experience or a 2-year technical degree
• Proven ability to build, troubleshoot, and repair PC hardware (component-level work preferred)
• Hands-on experience configuring PC hardware, installing drivers, and setting up system-level devices
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments in technical or build-focused roles
• Basic networking experience including IP configuration and device connectivity
• Ability to travel 20–40% to provide on-site support and installations
• Experience with physical hardware installation, including wiring, cabling, and peripherals
• Familiarity with server administration, cybersecurity basics, or Azure/AWS is a plus
