Position Summary
The Industrial Construction Pipe Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of pipefitters, welders, helpers, and subcontractors engaged in the installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in heavy industrial environments. This position ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field activities for piping crews in industrial facilities (power plants, refineries, manufacturing plants, chemical plants, etc.).
- Plan, coordinate, and assign work based on project schedules and manpower availability.
- Interpret and execute work according to isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, and pre-task planning meetings.
- Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, inspectors, and project management.
- Monitor productivity and labor hours to meet project budgets and timelines.
- Verify proper installation of piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, PVC, and specialty materials.
- Oversee hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, flushing, and system turnover activities.
- Ensure quality control requirements are met, including weld inspections and documentation.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, material tracking, and equipment logs.
- Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and technical challenges.
- Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices.
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of industrial piping experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems, codes, and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
- Experience with rigging and equipment setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in scheduling and crew management.
- OSHA 30 certification Required.
- NCCER certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working at heights.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
Work Environment
- Heavy industrial construction sites.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to loud noise, confined spaces, elevated work areas, and hazardous materials.
- Requires use of PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and fall protection.

Pay: $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
