We are looking for an Industrial Designer who shares this same passion for home décor and is eager to contribute to our dynamic and collaborative design team.

The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated team player who excels in providing product design needs ranging from conceptual renderings to technical specs. An imaginative approach and the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment will help you thrive.

Responsibilities

• Stay on top of style and popular influences to provide insights on interior design trends and innovation. Share research from social media, online and in-store retailer visits, and trade shows. Knowledge and passion for home décor is essential.
• Interpret design direction, mood boards, and brand vision, with an understanding of current home fashion and consumer buying patterns.
• Create realistic product drawings and renderings for customer presentations and technical construction drawings while adhering to form and function, as well as manufacturing capabilities.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are used extensively in the role, complementing technical CAD drawings.
• A fundamental understanding of graphic design concepts, art & digital image creation, and photo editing is a definite plus!
• Commitment to learning about production processes through on-the-job training and product sample reviews. Retaining and applying learned information to future projects is key to ensure accuracy of construction specs.

Our current hybrid in-office/remote work environment requires strong time management skills and dedication to maintain focus and productivity. Additional in-office hours beyond regularly scheduled days may be necessary to successfully meet deadlines during intense development cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Product or Industrial Design, with experience in the consumer product industry or equivalent design expertise.
• Preferably a minimum of one year’s experience in a work-related field or internship in product or industrial design. A thorough understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques will help you hit the ground running.
• Active communication within the product design team and cross-departmentally with engineering, graphic design, marketing, product management, and sourcing to achieve common goals. Our teams provide a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to clearly communicate with overseas manufacturers through verbal and written communication and detailed drawings.
• Responding to changes in direction and priorities while accepting new challenges, whether big or small. Curiosity and adaptability are important when designing new or unfamiliar product categories.
• Provide support to sales as design consultant at major presentations as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
