Industrial Electrician Foreman

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. Your expertise will help drive successful project completion on construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial facilities. Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
  • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
  • Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components for industrial applications.
  • Collaborate on construction projects, renovation sites, and industrial facilities to ensure electrical work meets project specifications.
  • Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of high voltage systems and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with framing carpentry and general handyman tasks as needed to support electrical installations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on existing electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and functionality.

Skills

  • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for accurate wiring installation.
  • Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and automation controls such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Skilled in using hand tools like wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools required for electrical work.
  • Ability to operate testing instruments including ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and project demands.
  • Knowledge of renovation processes involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing structures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail for diagnosing complex electrical issues.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
