Overview
Indiana Sugars is looking for an Industrial Engineer to become a key driver of manufacturing excellence! In this role, you will leverage your mechanical and process engineering expertise to optimize production systems, enhance efficiency, and ensure quality standards are met across manufacturing facilities. Your hands-on approach and technical proficiency will help shape streamlined processes, improve equipment performance, and foster continuous improvement initiatives that propel our operations forward. Duties

  • Develop, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Program and troubleshoot robot programming systems and vision inspection systems to ensure seamless operation of automated equipment.
  • Lead process engineering projects focused on lean manufacturing principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Prepare detailed process documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing improvements, continuous improvement initiatives, and implementation of industrial equipment upgrades.

Experience

  • Proven experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly line setup, robotics integration.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of process engineering concepts such as lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Experience working with robot programming platforms, and industrial automation systems.
  • Understanding of factory safety protocols to ensure compliance across all operations.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background combined with factory experience in manufacturing environments involving food processes.
  • Analyze data from production, quality control, and supply chains to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Design and implement facility layouts and manufacturing workflows to optimize the use of space, equipment, and personnel.
  • Develop and institute quality control systems and standards to ensure products meet specified requirements.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish work standards and inform adjustments to production methods.
  • Manage supply chain logistics, including inventory control, warehousing, and distribution, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Create and oversee project plans for the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations through the design of ergonomic workstations and safe operational procedures.
  • Use computer simulations and mathematical modeling to test and validate proposed changes to operational systems before implementation.

Travel- 30% to 7 plants

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
