INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Position Description

You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TECHNICAL WORK DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST in Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, California.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will develop detailed work methods and processes, listing the essential steps for the repair and or overhaul of assigned aircraft, engines, or components.
• You will review Technical Directives to include Technical Publications and Drawings, Local Engineering Specifications, Local Process Specifications, Standard Depot Level Maintenance Specifications, Phased Depot Maintenance Specifications, etc.
• You will determine the shop routing, extent of rework by shop, and trade skills and ground support equipment requirements.
• You will perform investigations, reviews, or studies to determine the reasons for excessive variances (man-hours/dollars losses or gains) and providing support to Integrated Product Teams in determining corrective action.
• You will coordinate the services of all divisions and shops involved with the planning and establishment of organic repair capability on Designated Repair Point (DRP) and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) components.
