Industrial Equipment Technician

Job Overview

Supplier Park Industries is a labor contract company that works directly on the General Motors Components Holdings (GMCH) Lockport, NY site. We provide award winning quality and resource support while creating highly efficient methods for labor intensive processes within General Motors. We are currently looking for a driven and ambitious candidate for the role of Industrial Equipment Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or maintain the operating conditions of industrial production, processing machinery, or equipment.
  • Repair and replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Inspect equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
  • Maintain repair or maintenance records.
  • Test equipment to ensure proper functioning or diagnose malfunctions. Analyze test/performance data to assess equipment operation.
  • Record parts or materials used and order materials, parts, supplies as needed.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
  • Operate welding equipment.
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
  • Train team members in operational procedures.
  • General computer knowledge – email, spreadsheets, basic data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial hydraulic systems
  • Experience with pneumatic systems
  • Experience with manual machining (lathe, Bridgeport, surfacer, etc.)
  • Experience with high and low voltage – 480V AC, 24V DC.
  • Experience working on aerial platforms,
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools.
  • Lifting and rigging experience.

Schedule:

  • 6AM – 230PM
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional Overtime

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
