Industrial gearbox repair technician / shop lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Gearbox Repair Technician to join our dynamic repair facility. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing industrial gearboxes and related mechanical items.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on various types of industrial gearboxes using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Disassemble, clean, replace worn or damaged components, and reassemble gearboxes with precision measuring instruments.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Support customer service efforts by providing technical assistance and advice related to gearbox performance and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanicHands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks, including working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Experience working with hydraulics systems and precision measuring instruments for accurate repairs.
• Ability to read technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with strong analysis capabilities for diagnosing complex mechanical issues.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
