About the Role:
The Industrial Maintenance Electrician on the 3rd shift plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and electrical systems within the facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical components to minimize downtime and support production goals during overnight hours. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential electrical issues before they escalate, thereby safeguarding the safety and reliability of machinery. The electrician will collaborate closely with maintenance teams and production staff to implement effective solutions and improvements. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to maintaining a safe working environment and optimizing manufacturing processes through expert electrical maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent industrial electrical training.

Valid electrician license or certification as required by state regulations.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and industrial automation.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on 3rd shift or overnight shifts in a manufacturing setting.

Certification in PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and vibration analysis.

Additional certifications such as OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E electrical safety training.

Experience in a Corrugated Box Plant or the Paper Industry.

Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various electrical equipment.

Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and operator interfaces.

Knowledge of power distribution infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in machinery, control panels, motors, and other industrial equipment promptly.

Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair and installation tasks accurately.

Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate repairs and minimize production downtime during the 3rd shift.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and upgrades as required.
