Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

National Star Services is a 50+ year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of a skilled and dependable Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Chicago, IL 60612.

This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in quality work and safety

Position Overview

This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with experience in fabrication and repair as you will work with mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and power transmission while performing preventative and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs

· Conduct preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment

· Fabricate and repair components as needed

· Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems

· Complete and document work orders using computer systems

· Maintain a strong safety and quality record

· Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues

· Be available for overtime, call-ins, and holiday coverage as needed

Pay & Schedule

· $26.00 per hour (Biweekly pay)

· Monday – Friday 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

· Overtime available

Qualifications & Requirements

· Must be authorize to work in the United States

· Being Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, fabrication, and repairs in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and welding (REQUIRED)

· Manufacturing maintenance experience required

· Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

· Willingness to cross-train in other technical areas

· Ability to use computer systems and write work orders

· Have reliable transportation to commute to work

· Available for overtime and to be on-call (including holidays)

· Availability to start working as soon as needed
