We are looking for an
Industrial
Maintenance Mechanic.
This is a
direct hire
position
.
-
Repair, maintain,
and support equipment on both
Packaging lines
to maximize productivity and quality, including changeovers,
set-ups, installation
, and adjustments.
-
Diagnose, repair,
and
maintain all
packaging and support
equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
-
Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary.
-
A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting machine downtime events and utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source.
-
Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyze and solve both routine and complex
electrical and mechanical
problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.

Assist manufacturing personnel with process-related problems
-
Perform established Preventive Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during the PM process.

Assist Engineering on
equipment installations
.

Repair and fabricate parts
as required.

Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials.

Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance
Other duties as assigned

Diagnose, repair, changeover, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.

Continuous Improvements and problem-solving initiatives to include analyzing data to identify machine downtime issues and coming up with root cause and preventive measures

Qualifications:
-
Overall work experience (years)
7-plus years’ mechanic
experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
-
Advanced skills and knowledge of the
repair and maintenance
of electro-mechanical equipment, e
lectric motors, pneumatic
systems
, hydraulic
systems
, conveyor
systems
,
PLCs
, bearings, shafts, production machines,
and
liquid filling equipment
-
High School graduate, or equivalent, or an associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science is a plus.

Necessary vocational training - Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, or military technical training, is strongly preferred.

Necessary further training - Advanced technical knowledge of
machine shop
operations
,
welding
,
mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings
,
gearboxes
, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors,
starters, contactors, three-phase power,
PLCs)
required.

Ability to read
blueprints,
possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and have production maintenance work experience.

Initiative/motivation and communication skills required.

The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
-
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
-
Occasionally, this position may require the lifting and/or moving of more than 60 pounds.

All lifting must comply with OSHA standards.
