Job Summary:
Maintain and repair plant machinery and all areas of local industrial facilities and warehouses.
Responsibilities:

Maintain, diagnose and repair industrial production equipment to include (but not limited to) blenders, scaling systems, sifters, hammer and roller mills and vertical form filling machines.

Correct, prevent, or repair facilities and machines by using various equipment, including but not limited to drill presses, grinders, saws, and hand tools.

Troubleshoot and identify root cause and recommend improvements on a continuous basis.

Performs basic maintenance and repairs of electrical systems consisting of 120v, 220v, 480v.

Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the buildings are upkept.
- Performs work orders, improvements, and CM activities on production equipment and machinery to ensure equipment life and uptime, as well as quality production and reliability.

Utilize iPad to access, interpret, respond, prioritize, complete, and close work orders.
- Monitor condition of equipment and plan preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.

Clean, inspect, and charge forklifts regularly.

Take ownership of safety processes; perform maintenance safety program audits (LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.)

Perform general maintenance as assigned within all local facilities.
- Assist in inventory control of maintenance parts and supplies

High School Diploma/GED required
-
3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment maintaining and repairing production machinery required.
-
Advanced knowledge of techniques used in conjunction with a variety of tools, machines and processes to complete maintenance and repair projects.
-
Advanced general maintenance skills: painting, drywall, carpentry, etc.
-
Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic hvac, mechanical and electrical systems in the production plant and facilities.

Basic plumbing experience with PVC, copper, and metal pipe.
-
Possess a high mechanical aptitude and be able to use various mechanical hand and power tools and equipment correctly and safely in the maintenance process.

Possess a working knowledge of AC-DC motors and controls, metering, power distribution, electronics process control computers, welding, conduit, and schematics.

Must be familiar with and routinely use all personal safety procedures and equipment related to the duties of this position, ensuring safety is a priority during all activities.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.

Must have basic computer skills and ability to use iPad and related software
-
Must be able to stand and complete tasks for extended durations.

Forklift certification preferred; Ability to operate equipment and obtain certification required.
