Industrial Mechanic

Job Summary

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on repair skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repair

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial machinery such as motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine root causes of equipment failures.
• Replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Operations Support

• Ensure machinery operates efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Support production teams by responding promptly to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Align, assemble, dismantle, and reassemble mechanical equipment as required.
• Lubricate machines and maintain proper operating conditions.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow company safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) practices, and HSE regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Report recurring equipment issues and suggest improvement solutions.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports and checklists.

Teamwork

• Coordinate with electricians, operators, and supervisors during maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Mechanics.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with heavy machinery, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
• Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts, and chains
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Welding, cutting, and fabrication basics (preferred)
• Preventive maintenance systems

Working Conditions

• Industrial workshop and outdoor site environment
• May involve shift work, overtime, or emergency call-outs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
