- Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 4:00pm
- Prep, prime, and apply topcoats to rail vehicle car bodies.
- Hand, block, and mechanical sanding to achieve paint-ready surfaces.
- Masking and surface cleaning to ensure proper adhesion.
- Application of primers and undercoats per specifications.
- General maintenance and care of painting equipment.
- Team support, assisting other painters as project needs arise.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent education/experience mix in manufacturing or materials painting.
- 1+ year of paint application experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- English proficiency sufficient for effective teamwork and vendor communication.
- Comfort reading basic instructions, memos, and technical documents.
- Math capabilities including operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, plus rates, ratios, percentages, and bar-graph interpretation.
- Frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Routine climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders.
- Work on elevated platforms, including overhead tasks.
- Lift and move up to 40 pounds.

Base rate range in Lexington, NC: $16.00/hr - $19.68/hr. Final pay may vary based on budget as well as your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
