Industrial Robot Maintenance Senior Engineer

Position Summary:

• The Industrial Robot Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the optimal functioning, uptime, and performance of industrial robotic systems including but not limited to Hyundai and Yaskawa robots deployed across automated manufacturing lines. The role encompasses robot maintenance, programming support, troubleshooting, calibration, and continuous improvement of robotic applications to support production quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on industrial robots, including electrical, mechanical, and control system components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in robot manipulators, controllers, servo drives, I/O systems, teach pendants, and associated peripherals.
• Perform robot calibration, sensor alignment, and movement optimization to ensure precision and repeatability in manufacturing operations.
• Support robot teach programming, path adjustment, and tooling changeovers to facilitate new product launches and line modifications.
• Coordinate with automation engineers and production teams to minimize downtime and integrate improvements in robot performance.
• Maintain comprehensive service records, spare parts inventories, and maintenance reports in the designated CMMS.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, robot-specific safeguards, and company policies to maintain a safe operational environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience of Robot
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotics maintenance, preferably with Hyundai and Yaskawa systems.
• Strong competency in robot controllers, PLCs, sensors, and automated systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills to effectively interface with cross-disciplinary teams.
