Industrial Welder Fabricator

Opportunity

Join Nviro’s growing in-house manufacturing team, utilizing advanced fabrication and welding equipment to build custom stainless-steel tanks, skids, piping systems, and industrial process equipment. This role supports both shop and field fabrication efforts and plays a key part in expanding Nviro’s manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Fabrication

• Perform both shop and field metal fabrication.
• Operate production machinery including shears, rollers, press brakes, and cold-cut saws.
• Utilize fabrication, assembly, and installation equipment including forklifts, drill presses, band saws, grinders, plasma cutters, milling machines, press brakes, and laser cutting systems.
• Fabricate parts used in repairs utilizing machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Load appropriate files into CNC machinery and perform CNC operations.
• Fabricate stainless-steel tanks and skids, including tank repurposing and relocation projects.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain shop equipment and work areas.

Welding

• Set up welding machines based on project requirements and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, pipe, and tube assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
• Complete grinding, sanding, polishing, and passivation of finished products as required.
• Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring and testing instruments to identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in industrial fabrication and welding within a manufacturing environment, specializing in stainless steel.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding methods and welding quality control practices.
• Working knowledge of fabrication equipment including overhead cranes, saws, ironworkers, shears, brakes, and welding systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively resolve issues through drawings, details, notes, and communication.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification preferred.
• Experience with sanitary or process piping preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machinery and fabrication software preferred.

Safety & Work Environment

• Maintain clean and organized work areas while properly caring for tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Uphold all OSHA and company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including housekeeping practices and participation in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud machinery, metalworking fluids, and other industrial elements.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work five 8-hour shifts per week.

Pay: $33.00 - $48.00 per hour
