Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development principles.
- Support infants’ daily routines, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices with patience and care.
- Engage children in playful learning activities that promote literacy, math skills, and sensory exploration.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols diligently.
- Observe and document each child's developmental progress, sharing insights with team members and parents as needed.
- Support classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that incorporate Montessori or other child-centered educational approaches.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
- Experience working with infants or young children in classroom or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of special education strategies, including working with children with disabilities or autism.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, and tutoring methods suitable for early learners.
- Proven classroom management skills to create an organized, nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Experience with Montessori or private school educational frameworks is a plus.
- Attention to detail for proofreading reports or documentation related to child progress.
