Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of infants in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess relevant experience, and be committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational space for our youngest learners. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, music, and other stimulating activities that encourage exploration.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in caregiving practices and classroom routines.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and developmental progress.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and caregiving best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavior management effectively.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to nurturing young children’s growth.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual children and classroom dynamics. This role is vital in creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive during their critical early years of development.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
