Green Bean Day School & Nursery is growing, and we’re looking for 1 full-time Infant Assistant Teacher to join our warm, nurturing team. Position Details-

• Full-time Availability Required. Consistency and dependability are an absolute must.
• Shift to be discussed, likely between 8/8:30AM-5/5:30PM.

What You’ll Be Doing-

As an Infant Assistant Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment for our youngest learners (six weeks–approximately 15 months), including:

• Supporting the lead teacher in caring for and engaging infants throughout the day
• Providing high-quality, responsive care, including diapering, feeding, and supporting daily routines
• Following all health, safety, and hygiene procedures (handwashing, safe sleep practices, etc.)
• Helping create a calm, nurturing classroom that supports infants’ development and relationships
• Observing and documenting infants’ growth through photos and written observations
• Participating in family-style communication and building positive relationships with families
• Working collaboratively with your teaching team and contributing to a positive classroom culture
• Participating in professional development and school-wide events

What We’re Looking For-

• At least one year of experience working with infants or young children in a group childcare setting preferred
• Coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus
• Knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Interest in or experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach is a bonus
• A reflective, team-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
• Ability to meet DCFS licensing requirements, including:
• Required certifications (SIDS, SBS, Food Handler, etc.)
• Background check and fingerprinting
• Physical exam and health clearance
• Three professional or character references

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
