Infant & Preschool Lead Teacher

IXL Learning Center of Hamburg/Whitmore Lake is looking to hire a Lead Infant & Preschool teacher for our child care center in Whitmore Lake, MI.

Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and carry out education program as designed by IXL Learning Center
• Responsible for the appearance of the classroom (ie. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization)
• Supervise children in classroom and on playground at all times, which may include lifting children and equipment
• Share in classroom housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Open, daily communication with parents
• Lesson planning
• Implementing strong classroom management
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude

Lead Teacher Requirements:

• Looking for someone who is positive, caring, loving, and patient
• Must work well with others
• Able to lift children of varying ages and equipment of varying sizes
• Educational requirements: minimum 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or child related field with 960 hours of experience, 3 semester hours of infant/toddler education or willing to complete within 6 months of hire

Rate of pay is based on level of education and experience in the field.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.40 - $20.70 per hour
