Infant Room Teacher

Cardan Montessori Center is seeking a reliable, patient, and loving Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team. In this essential support role, you’ll work closely with a certified Montessori Lead Teacher to create a safe, warm, and engaging classroom for our youngest learners.

What You’ll Do:

As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the care and development of infants by:

  • Assisting with feeding, diapering, and classroom routines
  • Helping to maintain a calm, clean, and organized Montessori environment
  • Following the lead teacher’s direction to guide children gently and respectfully
  • Engaging with infants through age-appropriate interaction and observation
  • Supporting developmental milestones and individual needs
  • Building trusting relationships with families and communicating with kindness
  • Ensuring the health and safety of all children at all times
  • Participating in staff training, meetings, and events

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • A love for infants and a nurturing, patient nature
  • Prior experience in a childcare setting preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to learn and follow the Montessori approach
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with others
  • Physically able to lift children, sit on the floor, and perform care routines
  • CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse, and Communicable Disease training required (can be obtained after hire)
