Infant Supervisor/Lead Infant Teacher

Job Title: Infant Supervisor of Great Escape Evergreen Childcare Center

Supervisor: Executive Director

Teachers will be evaluated annually by the executive director.

Exempt / Non-Exempt: Exempt Salaried / Hourly: Hourly

Full-Time / Part-time: Full time

Pay Range: $25-$27

Benefits: Consistent with United Methodist Church of Evergreen (UMCE) Staff.

Supervises: Students and assistant teachers/para’s.

Summary: Great Escape is part of the ministry and community outreach of

UMCE. The infant supervisor is responsible for caring for infants 12 weeks-15 months.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Experience working with infants/toddlers.
  • CDA, EQIT certificate, Infant/Toddler credits, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
  • Basic knowledge of state regulations for health, safety, and licensing of Preschools.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Standard Precautions training according to expiration date. (Or willing to obtain it within 60 days).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Behavior management skills
  • Understanding of developmental milestones in each domain.
  • Good communication and technology skills
  • Strong Classroom Management

  • Adhere to Great Escapes policy and guidelines.
  • Willing to assess and evaluate students bi-annually.
  • Maintain open communication with families.
  • Provides opportunities to build cognitive, socio-emotional development, and fine and gross motor skills
  • Uses positive discipline approaches when managing a student's behavior.
  • Willing to diaper, toilet and teach potty training skills to infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Maintains communication with administration
  • Orders and keeps track of classroom supplies
  • Dresses appropriately and maintains an orderly appearance.
  • Willing to become medically trained/delegated.
  • Be passionate about caring for young children.
  • Keep up with annual PDIS training.
  • Participates in staff meetings and school sponsored events and activities.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Tidy and organize toys and craft materials.
  • Sanitize and clean the classroom daily.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all children and families
