Infant Teacher

Job Overview

Sprouting Minds Childcare Center is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and passionate Infant Teacher to join our growing team! This role involves caring for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and responsive atmosphere that supports each child’s physical, emotional, and developmental growth, while maintaining consistent routines and open communication with families.

We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience, but we are happy to train the right person who has a genuine love for working with infants and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care to infants throughout the day
• Follow and maintain individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedules
• Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support early developmental milestones through play and interaction
• Communicate daily with parents about their child’s needs and progress, via Brightwheel and in-person.
• Maintain accurate records (feeding, diapering, naps, etc.)
• Follow all state licensing and center policies
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth classroom operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of childcare experience preferred (infant experience a plus)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to lift, carry, and care for infants throughout the day
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, nurturing, and reliable personality
• Must pass background check and meet all state licensing requirements
