Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love of learning from an early age. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving skills to ensure each child's individual needs are met with patience and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with parents and team members to support each child's unique needs and routines
  • Follow all licensing regulations and center policies regarding infant care and safety
  • Assist with daily routines such as nap times, playtimes, and transitions between activities
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans under supervision

Skills

  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
  • Childcare certification or early childhood education background preferred
  • First aid certification is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement
  • Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
  • Excellent caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and attentiveness
  • Experience with behavior management techniques suitable for infants
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members
  • Knowledge of preschool activities, toddler care, nannying, babysitting, and general caregiving practices

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
