Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love of learning from an early age. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving skills to ensure each child's individual needs are met with patience and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with parents and team members to support each child's unique needs and routines
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies regarding infant care and safety
- Assist with daily routines such as nap times, playtimes, and transitions between activities
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans under supervision
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Childcare certification or early childhood education background preferred
- First aid certification is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and attentiveness
- Experience with behavior management techniques suitable for infants
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members
- Knowledge of preschool activities, toddler care, nannying, babysitting, and general caregiving practices
