Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where infants can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting individual needs, and promoting positive behavior in a classroom setting designed specifically for infants.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independence among infants.
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and ensuring safety at all times while maintaining proper hygiene standards.
- Use effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions and support emotional regulation among infants.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs or concerns.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies when necessary to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, health information, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants in a childcare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for toddlers and infants, including literacy education and Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a safe and stimulating environment.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are advantageous.
