About Our Infant Program
We provide a warm, calm, and child-centered environment for babies ages 6 weeks to 12 months. Our approach emphasizes secure attachment, predictable routines, and developmentally aligned experiences that support each infant's early growth. Small ratios ensure individualized attention, and staff receive strong support from leadership.
What You'll Do
- Provide warm, responsive care throughout the day, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and engaging
- Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, and language activities
- Establish and maintain consistent feeding, nap, and diapering routines
- Observe and document each child's developmental progress
- Communicate daily with families about routines, milestones, and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe infant classroom
- Support individual developmental needs and schedules
- Build trusting, secure relationships with each infant and their family
What We're Looking For
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (pay scaled accordingly)
- Infant classroom experience preferred (6 weeks-12 months)
- Required Pennsylvania clearances: FBI, State Police, Child Abuse
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must Have Personal Qualities
- Comfortable with technology for developmental tracking, documentation, and classroom tools
- Emotional intelligence for working with infants and new parents
- Resilience for dynamic environments and unpredictable developmental moments
- Multi-tasking skills for managing individual infant schedules simultaneously
- Understanding of executive functioning skills and early brain development
- Warm, patient, and nurturing presence
- Strong observation and communication abilities
- Understanding of infant development, secure attachment, and responsive caregiving
- Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and family updates
- Emotional steadiness when supporting new parents and young babies
Great to Have
- Understanding of Montessori or early childhood best practices
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
