Infant Teacher Assistant

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Infant Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants (ages 6 weeks to 8 months). This position is perfect for someone who is patient, attentive, and loves working with babies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead teacher in implementing daily routines and lesson plans
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining clean, safe, and organized classroom spaces
• Observe and interact with infants to support developmental milestones
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding each child’s needs and progress
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities associated with infant care
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
