Infant Teacher (Daycare / Childcare)

About Us: Tiny Sprouts Playhouse is a nurturing and play-based early childhood center dedicated to helping children grow, explore, and thrive. Our philosophy focuses on fostering curiosity, building secure attachments, and supporting the whole child through individualized care. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Infant Teacher to join our growing team!

What You Will Do:

• Primary Care: Provide responsive, consistent care for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months, including feeding, diapering, and soothing on individual schedules.
• Development: Create a warm environment that promotes sensory exploration (tummy time, textures, music) and emotional security.
• Communication: Update families daily on their child’s mood, bottles, naps, and milestones via our daily logs and face-to-face chats.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, sanitary classroom strictly following CT OEC regulations and safe sleep practices.
• Curriculum: Support simple lesson plans aligned with CT Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS).

What We Need From You:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting is highly preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CDA or ECE coursework is a big plus.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Soft Skills: A patient, positive attitude and a genuine love for babies.
• Requirements: Must pass background checks and meet all Connecticut Office of Early Childhood requirements.
