Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher’s Assistant to join our early childhood education team. This full-time position involves supporting infant care and classroom activities within a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess relevant experience, and be committed to fostering developmental growth through engaging activities and attentive caregiving while also teaching children about God and his love for us. This childcare center is a faith-based program.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on infant development and early childhood education.
- Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Engage with children through age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Observe and document individual progress and behaviors to inform teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Follow safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to enhance the curriculum and school culture.
- Actively participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a classroom setting with toddlers and infants.
- Demonstrated caregiving skills, patience, and a nurturing attitude toward young children.
- Relevant background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong personal faith in Christ, modeling Christian values and character.
- Passion for Christian education and a heart for discipling students.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying abilities.
