Infant / Toddler Lead Teacher (9 AM – 6 PM)

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking dependable and caring educators who genuinely enjoy working with young children and value teamwork. Ideal candidates maintain a professional attitude, follow state regulations, and contribute positively to our school community.

This role is best suited for teachers who take pride in their classroom, communicate well with families, and are excited to grow as educators as OakRidge Academy gradually integrates Montessori-inspired practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support children’s routines and developmental milestones
  • Follow daily schedules set by the director
  • Attend meetings and complete required training on time
  • Collaborate positively with families and co-workers
  • Support the classroom as we gradually integrate Montessori-inspired practices

Requirements

  • Clear Criminal Records Check through BFTS
  • Completion of all required BFTS training within required timelines
  • Dependable, organized, and child-centered approach
  • Strong awareness of the health and developmental needs of infants and toddlers

Lead Teacher candidates must hold one of the following:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC)
  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • Paraprofessional Certificate (Georgia PSC)
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field + 3 months qualifying child care experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

Job Type: Full-time
