Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth for infants and toddlers
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Engage children in play-based learning activities, fostering curiosity and developmental milestones
• Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene to ensure comfort and safety
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and developmental progress
• Support behavior management strategies that promote positive interactions and social skills among children
• Contribute to lesson planning by providing input on activities aligned with early childhood education standards like Montessori or other pedagogies

Requirements

• Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques
• Familiarity with special education, working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism
• Basic proofreading skills for documentation and communication purposes
• Passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of young learners through tutoring or individualized attention
• Experience with behavior management strategies tailored to early childhood or special needs populations is advantageous
• Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields such as Montessori or private school experience is desirable
