Job Summary

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth for infants and toddlers
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage children in play-based learning activities, fostering curiosity and developmental milestones
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene to ensure comfort and safety
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and developmental progress
- Support behavior management strategies that promote positive interactions and social skills among children
- Contribute to lesson planning by providing input on activities aligned with early childhood education standards like Montessori or other pedagogies
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education, working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism
- Basic proofreading skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of young learners through tutoring or individualized attention
- Experience with behavior management strategies tailored to early childhood or special needs populations is advantageous
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields such as Montessori or private school experience is desirable
