Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, and social-emotional development for infants and toddlers
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, nurturing atmosphere that encourages exploration and independence
• Engage directly with children through play, storytelling, singing, and other age-appropriate activities to stimulate development
• Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
• Monitor children’s progress and communicate observations to teachers to support individualized learning plans
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety regulations and promotes effective learning experiences
• Collaborate with team members to develop behavior management strategies that support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including Montessori or private school methodologies is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to assist with literacy education and basic math activities suitable for infants and toddlers
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
• Demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to implement behavior management techniques
• Passion for mentoring young children and supporting their social-emotional growth
• Relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain required credentials upon hire
