Infant & Toddler teacher Assistant Positions

The Atlantic City Day Nursery is looking for an experienced Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistants for an immediate start to work with our newborns 6 weeks to 2.4 years old. The candidate should have good communication skills, knowledge of child development, a love for children, can hold babies and help soothe their cries change diapers, sit on the floor and assist the Lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Available to work 12:00-5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday
• Be able to mee the needs of Infants ages ranging from 2 months old to 17 months old.
• Bottle feeding & changing diapers.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Be able to effectively communicate to other teachers.
• Understand and carry out GNJK and Licensing guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Attend after hour staff meeting, professional development and program activities 1x month.Skills:
• knowledge of child development
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• friendly and reliable
• CPR & First Aid
• H.S. Diploma or GED for Teacher Assistant Positions.
• Child Development Credential, Associates degree (would be great)
• Good written and verbal skills and must be able to read English
• Bilingual helps

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.94 - $17.00 per hour
