Infant/Preschool Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and reliable Infant/Preschool Substitute to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and able to step into various classroom settings to support our lead teachers in delivering high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with infants and preschool-aged children in a safe and nurturing manner.
• Implement daily lesson plans and activities as directed by the lead teacher.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding daily activities and any concerns.
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through play-based learning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with infants or preschool-aged children is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
• Preffered to have 3 units in Infant/Toddler classes.
