Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and reliable Infant/Preschool Substitute to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and able to step into various classroom settings to support our lead teachers in delivering high-quality care and education.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with infants and preschool-aged children in a safe and nurturing manner.
- Implement daily lesson plans and activities as directed by the lead teacher.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap time.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding daily activities and any concerns.
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through play-based learning.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with infants or preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
- Must meet state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
- Preffered to have 3 units in Infant/Toddler classes.
