Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers. Your energy and compassion will foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth in children from birth to age three. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote early childhood development, including sensory play, language acquisition, and motor skills
  • Support infants and toddlers with their basic needs such as feeding, diapering, and comforting to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Engage with children through age-appropriate play, fostering social skills and positive behavior management
  • Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized learning plans
  • Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports diverse learning styles and needs

Experience

  • Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting, daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting role is highly valued
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Experience with classroom management techniques tailored for young children
  • Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through nurturing caregiving and teaching

Pay: $11.50 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
