Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers. Your energy and compassion will foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth in children from birth to age three. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote early childhood development, including sensory play, language acquisition, and motor skills
- Support infants and toddlers with their basic needs such as feeding, diapering, and comforting to ensure their safety and well-being
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage with children through age-appropriate play, fostering social skills and positive behavior management
- Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized learning plans
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports diverse learning styles and needs
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting, daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting role is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience with classroom management techniques tailored for young children
- Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through nurturing caregiving and teaching

Pay: $11.50 - $14.00 per hour
