Summary: We are seeking a nurturing, reliable Infant /Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting the growth and development of children ages 0–3 in a safe, engaging Montessori environment. This position requires a minimum of 12 Child Development units. Please see the required courses below. Montessori Teaching Certification is preferred.

Primary Role & Duties:

• Create and implement weekly lesson plans
• Maintain daily tracking records and observations on all children
• Ensure children are appropriately supervised and interacted with at all times
• Provide timely communication about the students’ daily developmental progress
• Maintain positive rapport with families
• Engage students in activities and play that stimulate their development and help them reach age appropriate milestones
• Create and maintain an environment that is attractive, clean, organized, and safe
• Accurately track each student’s daily activity (e.g., eating, sleeping, diaper, academic works, etc.) in record sheets and/or record apps (e.g., Procare Engage)
• Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations and company policies at all times
• Be a team player, professional, and help create an enjoyable work environment for all

Key Competencies & Qualities:

• 6+ months experience working with infants/toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
• Warm, patient, and attentive demeanor
• Strong understanding of child development and responsive caregiving
• Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment
• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn Title 22 regulations
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Is friendly, reliable, outgoing, professional, and a team player
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Is consistently organized, able to prioritize tasks, and multitask
• Has a certification in Pediatric CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training
• Is already fingerprinted and have LiveScan FBI/DOJ background clearance
• Up-to-date immunizations (including TB clearance, MMR, and Tdap)
• Montessori experience is preferred, but not required

Education:

12 ECE units - must include 3 units in each of the following:

• Child Growth and Development
• Child, Family & Community
• Infants and Toddlers
• Any Child Development Curriculum Course

Work Setting: The Infant Teacher shall primarily work out of a classroom located within one of the company’s school buildings. Approximately 70% of work activities will involve standing, the use of traditional office and classroom equipment, and minimal lifting of objects and packets of 25 lbs or greater weight. The approximate remaining 30% of work activities varies depending on the current needs and ad hoc projects (e.g., training and professional development, curriculum development, parent conferences, and classroom preparation).
