Holy Trinity Episcopal School is a non profit preschool that serves the downtown Gainesville area. We serve ages 6 weeks to five years of age. We have been serving families for over 50 years.

Job Description

Job goal:

To provide a high quality classroom early childhood educational program for preschool students

Knowledge and skills needed:

The instructor will need to lead in the planning, teaching and organization of activities for preschool children. This position requires the ability to establish effective working relationships with children, parents, peers and supervisors.

Required qualifications:

High school diploma required; completion of A.S degree in Early Child Education or CDA (Childhood Development Accreditation) desired

Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening conducted by the Department of Children and Families: https://info.flclearinghouse.com

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children
• Be responsible for the safety and supervision of children
• Work with peers to develop lesson plans
• Work cooperatively with other instructors in the classroom
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Adhere to all Board and employee policies as outlined in the Employee Manual
• Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality
• Maintain confidentiality of all students and families
• Complete all records as assigned
• Manage classroom resources carefully
• Work cooperatively with school team
• Adhere to requirements as outlined by NAEYC
• Adhere to requirements as outlined by Department of Children and Families
• Have reliable transportation to work.

Physical requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and exert up to 35 pounds of force
