Infection Control Nurse (ICN)

• Monitor and prevent hospital-acquired infections in all departments.
• Conduct regular infection control rounds in wards, ICUs, OTs, and OPDs.
• Ensure hand hygiene, PPE use, sterilization, and disinfection practices are followed.
• Implement infection control policies and SOPs as per hospital and NABH guidelines.
• Conduct infection control audits and prepare audit reports.
• Monitor biomedical waste segregation, collection, and disposal.
• Train nursing staff, doctors, housekeeping, and other employees on infection control practices.
• Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings and activities.
• Investigate infection outbreaks and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain infection control records, data, and documentation.
• Prepare and submit monthly infection control reports to management.
• Coordinate with microbiology, nursing, housekeeping, and quality departments.
• Ensure compliance with government and hospital infection control guidelines.
