Infirmary Incharge (School Nurse)

Job Summary:

The Infirmary Incharge is responsible for managing the school infirmary and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff during school hours. The role includes providing first aid, maintaining medical records, handling emergencies, and promoting health awareness within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and basic medical care to students and staff.
  • Attend to medical emergencies and coordinate with hospitals/parents when required.
  • Maintain and update students’ health records.
  • Administer prescribed medications with proper documentation.
  • Monitor students with chronic health conditions (asthma, allergies, etc.).
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the infirmary.
  • Ensure availability and proper storage of medicines and medical supplies.
  • Conduct regular health check-ups in coordination with management.
  • Maintain accident and illness records.
  • Assist in organizing health awareness programs and vaccination drives.
  • Prepare and submit health-related reports to the Principal.
  • Ensure compliance with school safety and health policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing (GNM or equivalent).
  • Valid Nursing Registration Certificate.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience (preferably in a school setting).
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
