Job RoleI: Infor Lawson Payroll IT Analyst

Location: Hyderabad

The Infor Lawson Payroll IT Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the Infor Lawson Human Capital Management

(HCM) system with a primary focus on payroll processing and related modules. This role serves as a technical and functional expert, ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while providing system analysis, configuration, and support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Support

* Administer and maintain Infor Lawson HCM applications, specifically Payroll, HR, Benefits, and Time & Attendance modules

* Provide tier 2/3 technical support for payroll system issues, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems

* Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal system functionality

* Manage system security, user access, and role-based permissions in accordance with organizational policies

* Coordinate and support payroll system upgrades, patches, and new releases

Payroll Operations Support

* Support bi-weekly/monthly payroll processing cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

* Configure and maintain payroll system tables, tax codes, deduction codes, and earning codes

* Validate payroll calculations, reports, and data integrity before and after payroll runs

* Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and work with HR and Finance teams to resolve issues

* Support year-end processing, including W-2 generation, 1095-C reporting, and tax reconciliation

Configuration & Customization

* Design, develop, and maintain custom reports using Crystal Reports, BIRT, or other reporting tools

* Configure workflows, business rules, and system parameters to meet organizational requirements

* Create and modify custom interfaces between Lawson and third-party systems (timekeeping, benefits, banking)

* Develop and maintain Process Flow automation and scheduled jobs

* Document system configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures

Testing & Quality Assurance

* Develop and execute test plans for system changes, upgrades, and new implementations

* Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

* Create test scenarios and validate results against expected outcomes

* Maintain test environments and data for development and training purposes

Project Management & Implementation

* Participate in system implementation projects and system enhancement initiatives

* Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions

* Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal IT teams on system projects

* Provide project documentation, status updates, and post-implementation support

Training & Documentation

* Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and payroll staff

* Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles

* Provide ongoing education on system capabilities and best practices

* Mentor junior team members and payroll staff on system functionality

Compliance & Audit Support

* Ensure payroll system compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

* Support internal and external audits by providing system documentation and data

* Implement controls and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and security

* Stay current with tax law changes and system updates affecting payroll processing

Required Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience

* 3-5 years of experience with Infor Lawson HCM applications, specifically Payroll module

* 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience or payroll systems support

* Experience with Lawson S3 (System Foundation) architecture and LSF/Process Flow automation

* Demonstrated experience with system implementations, upgrades, or migrations

Technical Skills

* Strong knowledge of Infor Lawson modules: PR (Payroll), HR (Human Resources), PA (Personnel Administration), BN (Benefits)

* Proficiency with Lawson reporting tools (BIRT, Crystal Reports, or Lawson BI)

* Experience with Lawson Security, Process Flow, and Import/Export utilities

* Understanding of relational databases (SQL queries) and data management

* Familiarity with integration tools and file transfer protocols (SFTP,

APIs)

* Knowledge of Windows/Unix operating systems and basic scripting

Functional Knowledge

* Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, tax calculations, and garnishments

* Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements

* Understanding of HR and benefits administration processes and their impact on payroll

* Familiarity with time and attendance systems and integration with payroll

Soft Skills

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

* Customer service orientation with a focus on end-user satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

* Infor Lawson certification or formal training

* Experience with Infor CloudSuite or Lawson cloud environments

* Knowledge of Landmark technology and Infor OS

* Experience with payroll interfaces to benefits vendors, 401k providers, and banking systems

* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll certification

* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

* Knowledge of HR analytics and data visualization tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹310,652.07 - ₹1,517,012.51 per year
