Informal Childcare Provider

Job Summary
We are seeking an informal Childcare Provider for our child. If you meet the requirements and are accepted, you will be paid with a voucher through ACS. You must be willing to undergo ACS checks and any other adult in the home) and a home visit. We are looking for someone who can provide childcare within their own home ideally. This offer is ideal for individuals who have a another primary source of income, want the option to take care of their own children during the day, and/or are looking to become an informal provider to a maximum of 2 other unrelated children during the day as per ACS official guidelines.

Duties

• Engage children in educational activities, playtime, etc.
• Support a toddler with feeding, diapering, nap routines, and gentle caregiving practices
• Assist child with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene when appropriate
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring activities and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
• Apply first aid when necessary and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies

Requirements

• Must respect parent's religious and personal beliefs as it relates to childcare
• MUST be willing to provide an instrumental music FREE environment including television during childcare hours (we can provide suggestions)
• No dogs in the house
• Open to individuals caring for other children, depending on ages, etc.
• Proven experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, or daycare settings
• Knowledge of infant care practices including feeding, diapering, and sleep routines
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
• Strong understanding of child development principles across different age groups
• Excellent communication skills with both children and parents/guardians
• Compassionate attitude with patience, flexibility, and a positive approach to caregiving
