Informatica Data Governance Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks using Informatica Axon and EDC

• Configure and manage Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) for metadata management and data lineage

• Implement business glossaries, data stewardship workflows, and governance policies

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and governance processes

• Integrate Data Quality rules and governance workflows across data domains

• Support MDM and data integration initiatives from a governance perspective

• Conduct data profiling and metadata analysis

• Develop governance dashboards and reports for management

• Facilitate governance workshops and stakeholder meetings

• Provide documentation, training, and best practices guidance

Required Technical Skills

• 6–7 years of overall experience in Data Management

• Minimum 3–4 years hands-on experience in:

o Informatica Axon Data Governance

o Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)

o Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)

• Strong understanding of:

o Metadata management

o Data lineage

o Data quality frameworks

o Business glossary management

o Data stewardship workflows

• Experience integrating Axon with EDC and IDQ

• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts

• Experience in enterprise data environments (banking, telecom, government preferred)

Functional & Business Skills

• Strong understanding of data governance operating models

• Ability to define data policies, standards, and ownership structures

• Experience working with cross-functional business teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Communication & Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong stakeholder management capability

• Ability to conduct workshops and executive-level discussions

• Ability to translate technical concepts into business language

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Informatica certifications preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience in government or large enterprise data programs

• Exposure to MDM, Data Fabric, or Data Lake architecture

• Experience in cloud-based Informatica implementations
