Compensation:
The wage range listed represents the potential compensation opportunities for this position. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined by the hiring manager based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, education, relevant skills, and qualifications brought to the role. The initial offer could be any amount within the posted range, reflecting Epsilon's commitment to fair and competitive compensation.

Where you’ll work:
You will work onsite in Crystal City, VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas, VA within the first year.

Our Customer’s Mission:
Team Epsilon has been chosen to deliver full-spectrum IT and Cyber Security support to a critical and enduring multinational organization within the United States Department of Defense. This DoD organization manages the resourcing, development and sustainment of one of our nation’s most coveted and capable platforms. Our role in this mission involves managing classified environments, supporting international partners and foreign military sales (FMS) clients, providing top-tier desk-side support, and offering adaptable enterprise infrastructure solutions. An average day:
As Information Assurance Analyst I, you will be the forefront of cybersecurity, ensuring that information systems maintain a robust posture and continue to meet the highest standards in national security. The Information Assurance Analyst I collaborates with senior team members to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and properly configured according to federal regulations. Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Provide aid to the program, organizations, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
  • Assist in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintain operational security posture for information system.
  • Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations.
  • Provide configuration management for information systems security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Review security documentation to evaluate changes to systems and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Experience in preparing reports such SSPs, RARs for (A&A) packages and SCTMs.
  • POAMs: Manage and Maintain Plans of actions and milestones, by tracking remediation efforts, validating closure evidence, prioritizing and communicating risk, and ensuring timely.
  • Oversee Configuration Management: Manage changes to security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware to maintain system security.
Basic Qualifications:
  • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (Security +, CC, CCND, SSCP)
  • Familiarity with federal security standards, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and JSIG requirements.
  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assist in the identification and mitigation of security risks.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and support senior analysts.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CAP, CSSP or equivalent certification DoD 8570 IAM Level II
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience Shaping policies and programs for DoD information security initiatives.
  • Knowledge of NIST guidance (SP 800-37, 800-53, 800-161) and JSIG guidance.
  • Hands-on risk assessment experience that incorporates system/mission requirements and operation constraints.
Other Requirements:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. (This is a federal contract position and requires candidates to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust. Adjudication of the required Security Clearance or Public Trust is determined solely by the government. If the government determines that the candidate cannot obtain and/or maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust, Epsilon will be unable to place the candidate in this position.)
  • Will be subject to a federal background investigation.
