Information Security Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to oversee and strengthen our organization’s cybersecurity posture and network infrastructure. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, monitoring and responding to threats, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining secure cloud and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments, leverage Microsoft and Azure security tools, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to protect systems, data, and users. This position also plays a key role in incident response, network security, physical security systems, and ongoing vulnerability management.


This position is 100% on-site in Irvine, CA, you must be able to commute here.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and support organizational security standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Perform ongoing risk and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into both new and existing technologies.
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance the security and compliance of cloud-based and enterprise technology environments.
  • Support endpoint security and device management efforts to ensure a strong overall security posture for users.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, including analysis, containment, and remediation activities.
  • Document security events and contribute to post-incident reviews and improvement plans.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory, legal, and internal security requirements.
  • Maintain the security and availability of externally facing systems and online resources using third-party tools and services.
  • Administer secure email and messaging systems, including encryption and threat prevention capabilities.
  • Coordinate with facilities or operations teams to respond to physical security alerts and related incidents as needed.
  • Conduct pre-employment and internal vetting activities using approved platforms and open-source research techniques.

Network:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network connected equipment in the cloud and on-premise. (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches, Access Points, File Servers, NAS devices, etc.)
  • Analyze network traffic to identify abnormalities and prevent breaches.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are reliable to mitigate potential data loss.
  • Conduct proactive vulnerability analysis on a network level to ensure any public facing network resources are protected.
  • Configure and maintain the Blue Iris camera systems in all offices.
  • Ensure proper configuration and deployment of azure gateways, active directory, storage pools and backups.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Formal education in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience, training, or certifications will be considered.
  • Several years of progressive experience in an IT, security, or infrastructure-focused role supporting enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of common security and networking concepts, including secure connectivity, access controls, and network protection mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across systems and networks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience providing front-line and escalated technical support as needed.
