As the first line of support for information security, this role plays a key part in protecting our people and systems. You’ll assist employees with help desk inquiries related to security, ensuring timely, accurate, and thoughtful responses that build trust and confidence. In partnership with the Information Security Officer, you’ll help manage software tools, review systems, support user access management, and assist with exams and audits. This position also contributes to the safety of our physical spaces by supporting camera installations and alarm systems.

You’ll stay informed on emerging threats and participate in ongoing security testing—helping us stay one step ahead while fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first level support in an Information Security help desk capacity. Log and resolve security issues and communicate with end users towards problem resolution. Perform log review - creating alerts in SIEM and assist with reviewing SIEM alerts and logs.
  • Assist with software management, updating security software (SIEM, web filter, applicaton control, antivirus, cameras and camera systems). Verify security systems are up-to-date and functioning and critical patches are installed. Remedying vulnerabilities (vulnerability scans remediation and configuration).
  • Create phishing email templates, gathering security testing (scoreboard) info, and creating security articles for all staff.
  • Assists with the physical security of the Bank - installing camera systems, verifying cameras are functioning and recording correctly, adding to and removing employees from alarm panels, installing access control systems, and allocating hardware for destruction.
  • Assist with system reviews including firewall rules, AV rules, incident response testing, DR testing, management of access control lists (ACLs).
  • Assists with Exams and Audits which includes remediation, preparation, and document gathering.
  • Create and remove new employees in various systems (phishing platform, identity security, keyfob).
  • Keep up-to-date on latest threats, documenting and storing relevant information and discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and Bank security policies and procedures.
  • All employees are expected to actively promote Legacy Bank to existing and prospective customers in order to obtain and build the Bank's customer base and thereby enhance Legacy Bank's growth and profitability.

  • A two-year degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or related trade school
  • Minimum of year of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions

Technical Expertise will help ahead, but is not required.

Information Security Fundamentals

  • Understanding of SIEM tools, antivirus, firewalls, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.
  • Familiarity with phishing simulations, identity security platforms, and access control systems.

Technical Troubleshooting & Log Analysis

  • Ability to review and interpret system logs, investigate alerts, and resolve security-related issues efficiently

Physical Security Systems Knowledge

  • Experience with camera systems, alarm panels, and access control hardware installation and maintenance.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Skill in preparing audit materials, documenting vulnerabilities, and creating clear, user-friendly security communications

Threat Intelligence Awareness

  • Staying current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices to proactively protect systems and data

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.


Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled office with minimal noise.
