YOUR DAY AS A INFORMATION SECURITY SUPERVISOR

As the Information Security Supervisor at One Community Bank, your main focus will be on fortifying the bank's proprietary and sensitive information while ensuring that technology controls are robust and effective. You will take charge of designing and implementing security measures, coordinating with the IT team to secure the bank's network and infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in identifying, investigating, and mitigating any cybersecurity incidents or vulnerabilities. You will build monitoring systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements suited for a bank of our size and complexity. This role also involves managing incident response and business continuity plans, conducting annual access reviews, and utilizing tools like KnowBe4 for penetration testing.

You will lead the design and delivery of security training, gather user feedback for system improvements, and foster collaboration across departments to elevate our overall security posture. This pivotal position combines technical knowledge with strategic oversight to ensure the bank operates in a safe and sound manner.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A INFORMATION SECURITY SUPERVISOR

To excel as the Information Security Supervisor at One Community Bank, candidates must have a solid foundation backed by relevant qualifications and experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is essential. With over five years in information security or IT controls, you'll need proficiency in Microsoft suite applications and strong written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments.

Familiarity with penetration testing techniques is vital, along with the ability to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities and control deficiencies. An understanding of patch management is critical, as well as knowledge of firewalls, antivirus solutions, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS) concepts. Candidates should also be adept in utilizing security software and documenting security issues comprehensively.
