About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Manager to support and enhance mission-critical systems within a public-sector environmental health organization. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise in SQL Server, database administration, reporting, system integration, and business process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise applications, managing data migrations, developing reports, and working closely with business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring performance, integrity, and security
• Develop, maintain, and enhance operational and management reports using Crystal Reports
• Lead data migration, system integration, and modernization initiatives
• Analyze business processes and recommend technology improvements
• Support environmental health or regulatory systems and related workflows
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on software implementations and upgrades
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and access management requirements
• Provide technical leadership and support for enterprise applications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years of experience with data migration projects
• 3+ years of experience with Jira
• Strong database management and SQL development skills
• Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports
• Experience supporting enterprise software applications
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with environmental health systems
• Experience with permitting, inspection, licensing, or regulatory applications
• Experience with Hedgerow and/or Envision Connect
• Public sector or government experience
• Experience leading system modernization initiatives

Pay: $63.00 - $65.00 per hour
