Stratagen is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer - SME (Cloud) to support cybersecurity and risk management activities for federal information systems. This role will provide technical leadership, support security compliance efforts, and assist with the implementation and maintenance of security controls throughout the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support cybersecurity and RMF activities for federal information systems and applications.
- Provide technical guidance related to security controls, compliance requirements, and risk management activities.
- Support the implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring of security controls across system lifecycles.
- Assist with security documentation, system authorization activities, and audit support efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, recommend remediation strategies, and support compliance objectives.
- Track and communicate status updates, risks, and security-related issues to leadership and team members.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives aligned with RMF, NIST guidance, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to cybersecurity team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting information security systems, cybersecurity engineering, or RMF-related activities.
- Experience supporting security compliance efforts within federal or government environments.
- Experience developing, reviewing, or supporting security documentation, assessments, and testing activities.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management practices, and security frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Certifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certification preferred
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments and security initiatives preferred
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST guidance, and federal cybersecurity standards preferred
Pay: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
