Information Systems Security Officer

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is a full-time, on-site role located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The ISSO will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems by developing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security measures. Responsibilities include monitoring security activities, conducting audits, managing system authorizations, and collaborating with team members to respond to potential threats. This position also involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and providing security training as needed.

• Proficient in Information Systems and Network Security concepts and practices
• Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles and frameworks
• Experience in Physical Security protocols and procedures
• Familiarity with risk management and compliance standards in the government domain
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CISM are a plus
