Position Summary:

This part-time IT Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and support of the BEConnected initiative under the supervision of the Manager of Information Systems. They will also provide coverage for the Support Desk as well as the Network Technician. The IT Specialist will perform routine changes and updates to the College’s websites. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The IT Specialist plays a major role in making sure that the BEConnected initiative provides users with flexibility in the management, and access to systems and data.

Specific Responsibilities:

1.) Assist students, staff, and faculty with IT support.

2.) Assist users over phone, email, and other correspondence to resolve issues.

3.) Effectively communicate with fellow IT Service staff members.

4.) Monitor support desk emails and tickets.

5.) Facilitate IT equipment and support for events held at Belmont College.

6.) Assist users with issues related to the Microsoft Office suite of products.

6.) Help in the deployment of IT infrastructure and equipment.

8.) Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Position Requirements:

1.) Ability to demonstrate proficiency of Apple iOS, MacOS and Windows operating systems.

2.) Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT related field

3.) Minimum of an associate degree in computer science or related field
